I am more conscious than ever of how much I spend on groceries and over the years I have come up with several strategies for saving money at the supermarket, as well as making use of every last scrap of food. I am making two recipes on this show that are tasty and satisfying but don’t cost much to prepare: a potato and greens pie, and an Italian onion soup with a poached egg.
