Easy weeknight cooking takes a strategy, and I have one of the best: cooking a dish one night; then repurposing it into an entirely different meal for another night. Food entrepreneur Maya Kaimal joins me to make a comforting Turkey Keema with sweet potatoes and ground meat. On another night, that morphs into Indian stuffed peppers. Then I sauté duck breasts for a quick meal. I repurpose those same duck breasts in a very tasty Peking Duck Wrap. Plus, I demystify spices on ‘Ask Sara.

Maya Kaimal grew up in a home steeped in Indian flavors, the daughter of a New Englander and a food loving physicist from South India. As an adult she traveled there to learn about the food from aunties and cousins. Eventually she left her job at Saveur to launch a line of Indian sauces to help busy parents like herself.
