I recently got an email from Halley who said, “I am in desperate need for more ground beef recipes that don’t contain a can of cream of something or a bunch of tomato sauce.” I immediately thought of the many Asian and Mediterranean recipes that I have developed for my shows and books that fit that description. And, I couldn’t leave out one of my family’s favorites, Mom’s Meatball Stroganoff. While they sometimes call for ground meats other than beef, beef can be substituted and pairs well with their flavor profiles. Here are my suggestions:
Middle-Eastern Meatball Sandwiches with Cucumber Yogurt Sauce
Ramen in Curry Sauce with String Beans and Ground Pork and Turkey
Turkey-Spinach Burger with Pepperoncini Mayonnaise
