A lot of things show up in my e-mail inbox each day but when my weekly newsletter from 150ish.com arrived a week or so ago with this article about Black Garlic I found it so interesting that I just had to stop everything and read the whole story. The web site, 150ish.com, is the work of graphic designer Francesca Pardo and cookbook editor Marisa Bulzone, both good cooks, who are fascinated by all the great local food products available within 150ish miles of New York city and think everyone should hear about them. Near Pennsville, in Southern New Jersey, they discovered Obis One, a small family farm where Lisa and Pat Lloyd produce Black Garlic and a range of related products. What makes garlic turn black and taste so good? You have to read the whole story!
